Pakistan has more missiles than India.

With active help from China and North Korea, Pakistan has surged well ahead of India in the missile arena. (TOI)
China is constantly being helping out Pakistan.
The only nuclear-capable ballistic missile in India's arsenal which can be said to be 100% operational as of now is the short-range Prithvi missile.
I think India should carry out production on a mass scale.
Army, for instance, has orders worth Rs 1,500 crore for 75 Prithvi-I and 62 Prithvi-II missiles, while IAF has gone in for 63 Prithvi-II missiles for over Rs 900 crore.
Agni range missiles are yet being tested.



When will this be done ?
And more over why have they disclosed this secret. Foreign nations can take benefit of this.

Is Slumdog Millionaire really India's pride.

Slumdog Millionaire surely won 4 Golden Globe but did it eradicate India's poverty ? No !
Then how can we say it as our nations pride. The movie is actually sued by Slum dwellers for insulting the poor. Yes it actually does.
This is what an Indian has to say - "Vishwakarma requested the court to protect the honour and respect of millions of slum dwellers across India," his lawyer Shruti Singh told the Indo Asian News Service."What hurt him was that even Indians associated with the film [did not object to being called] slumdogs," Ms Singh said."

The movie shows the world only the worst part of it or the negative aspect. It actually shows the image of poor India.

School teachers in Bihar get salary less than a peon.

I first read this in TOI and was taken aback. So in Bihar its better to be a peon than a teacher it means. The situation is so worse that 200,000 Bihar teachers are getting salary less than a peon.
The reality bites. There is a Rs 4000 gap between the minimum salary drawn by a primary school teacher and a peon, a 4th grade employee. Even a teacher of the 10+2 school draws Rs 1,000 less than him.
These are shocking numbers.
But now as said government has implemented the new pay-scales, the government did not heed the grievances of two lakh teachers right from primary to plus-two level appointed on fixed pay ranging from Rs 4000 to Rs 7000. TOI.

Government should take some decision fast or else attrition rate of teachers would be too high.

So one thing I dont understand that why dont they reduce the pay (salary) of the peon and increase that of a teacher ?

I was reading Business Week online and came across a survey which showed the worlds top outsourcing Countries.
India is in top 5 but at the 5th position.

This survey was conducted by Gartner when Satyams fraud was detected.


The survey was based on the following criteria -

Language
Government support
Labor pool
Infrastructure
Educational system
Cost
Political and economic environment
Cultural compatibility
Global and legal maturity
Data and intellectual property security and privacy

The Top Five -
No. 1 - Canada.
No. 2 - Australia , Ireland.
No. 4 - Singapore.
No. 5 - India and New Zealand.

India was beaten up the most in Infrastructure and was rated poor in it.
Cultural compatibility was another are where it was beaten.

India can be a massive global giant even if the infrastructure is well designed. It can surely land up in top 3.

These nations are also called as the emerging economies in the world. These countries are supose to be the future superpower.
