Off lately you may have realised a buzz word know as "Social Investing Community" for me its is a advanced version of "Forums" or even a combination of Forums, Social Media site and Information sites as they give every thing starting from - Discussions , Stock Quotes, Charts, Portfolio and many more things and yes you can also add friends as you do in your Facebook and/or Orkut.
I think these sites are of a great help to an individual investor who is all alone.
Here is a list of few Indian Social Investing WebSites-
StockEzy - StockEzy is one of my favorite. Its in Beta version and has almost all features one may look out for.
MoneyVidya - MoneyVidya is my second favorite site yet is in alpha version , but a good one.
StocksBuddy - Stocks buddy is one another site has a good amount of users but doesn't have many features if compared to stockezy. StocksBuddy is one of the oldest site in my opinion.
CafeStocks - CafeStocks is a good site but doesn't have many features.
Mudraa - Mudraa is a good site, has many features but not properly arranged.
Check them out guys but don't forget to visit my blog too- IndianMoneyPlus.Com.
Happy Investing to all!

Microsoft's Internt Explorer holds 72% market share.
I don't know how but this is the fact.
I personally use Mozilla Firefox and I like it very much. I don't like IE that much.
Microsoft IE has faced many challenges over a period of time but has sill been able to maintain 72% market share.
Most estimates put Internet Explorer's market share at around 72 percent, which means that when a new version of the browser is released, a lot of people will likely be upgrading.
Internet Explorer 8 (IE 8), the long-awaited successor to IE 7, is about to turn a lot of heads, as Microsoft nears completion of a browser upgrade that does significantly more than tack on enhancements to existing features.
I think in mobile version (browser) Opera is the one maximum used.
Which do you use ?

Gmail now in 5 different Indian languages.
Google has come up with gmail in five different Indian languages.
This is indeed a good step by google. But the steep came late as Sify and Rediff mail had such a feature arround 2 years back.
Gmail in Indian Languages would be useful for people in Rural India.
More over Google has also launched this service for Orkut , Blogger and iGoogle.

$10 or Rs 500 laptop to be displayed on 3rd Feb.
First it was Tata NANO which displayed out the worlds cheapest car and now it is the worlds cheapest Laptop for $10 or Rs 500. This would be some once minimum mobile bill in a city in India.
One cannot get even a simple black and white display mobile phone. But now in few months one can get a laptop. (Infact 6 months)
A $10 laptop (Rs 500) prototype, with 2 GB RAM capacity, would be on display in Tirupati on February 3 when the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology is launched. TOI
India caught everyone’s attention by announcing a laptop that would cost just $10 to own, but later made a redaction of the statement by saying it was $100. The latest happening is that the first figure was indeed true. The government will display a prototype of the Rs. 500 ($10) laptop in Tirupati on February 3 when the ICT department will launch its National Mission on Education.
The $10 laptop has come out of the drawing board stage due to work put in by students of Vellore Institute of Technology, scientists in Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, IIT-Madras and involvement of PSUs like Semiconductor Complex.
At present the price is coming at around 20$ but the mass production can bring the prices down.
Features - As of now, only few features are known like the Wi-Fi, LAN, expandable memory which we assume is the storage and not RAM and will operate with just 2 watt of power.
This can say that India is progression towards achieving it mission of One Laptop Per Child (OLPC).
Telecom industry will surely have a direct impact of this.
